Our guiding light is our Co-Founder Jalen Brunson’s mantra, “The Magic Is In the Work.”
As a second-round NBA draft pick, Jalen was overlooked.
Inspired by his journey, Second Round Foundation’s mission is to ensure that young people who are under-resourced, under-represented, and under-estimated have the tools, guidance, and belief they need to achieve the future of their dreams—just like Jalen has.
To us, “The Magic is in the Work” is more than a mantra. It is a daily commitment to the preparation needed for success, and a reminder to people of all ages that hard work fuels extraordinary achievements.

As part of the experience, DREAM and Garden of Dreams families were invited to the New York Knicks practice facility, where they gathered for lunch and community before receiving a special holiday surprise. Families arrived with full hearts, unaware that the day would soon become even more meaningful.
