In a show of solidarity and support for Caribbean athletes, Nija Williams, President of the Second Round Foundation (SRF), and Sandra Brunson, Co-Founder & CFO of SRF, recently attended Team Jamaica Bickle‘s (TJB) 30th-anniversary reception and awards ceremony in New York City. The gala, held earlier this month, served as a platform to rally behind TJB’s mission of assisting Caribbean athletes participating in the prestigious Penn Relays, scheduled for April 25-27.
During the event, Nija and Sandra had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the passion and dedication of the TJB team as they shared their vision for empowering its athletes from the Caribbean diaspora. TJB also highlighted and acknowledged SRF for our partnership and support over the years.
The Second Round Foundation pledged a generous donation of $5,000 to aid TJB’s athletes. By investing in the development and success of these athletes, the Foundation reaffirms its commitment to promoting inclusivity, diversity, and athletic achievement within the community.
We thank Nija and Sandra’s participation and support for their commitment to fostering partnerships and initiatives that uplift and empower individuals to reach their full potential.
